Meet our PROVIDERS
Ann Maruri, DNP
Ann began her medical career as the first female firefighter/paramedic in the State of Utah, working for Salt Lake City Fire Department for 5 years. She then continued her educational pursuits in the field of nursing until reaching her goal with a Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) degree. As a nurse practitioner since 2001, Ann has provided primary care to children in the private clinic setting, children and youth in foster care, and adolescents in youth corrections. Ann currently holds an Assistant Professor (Clinical) position at the University of Utah, College of Nursing, teaching the pediatric content to nurse practitioner students.
Over the course of her career, Ann has received many awards, including Nurse Practitioner of the Year (Utah Nurse Practitioner Association), the Directors Award (Division of Child and Family Services, State of Utah), and the Service Award (University of Utah). Ann was recently inducted into the Ogden High School Athletic Hall of Fame. She works in our Westside Medical Pediatric Clinic.
Ann loves the outdoors. She hikes, skis, cycles, travels, plays tennis and golf, slack-lines, and rides a unicycle. On her days off, Ann surrounds herself with family and friends planning and participating in all things fun and exciting.

Catherine Cardon, DNP
Catherine Cardon was raised in Northern Utah and is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Doctorate of Nursing degree from the University of Utah and her
undergraduate degrees in nursing through Weber State University. Her specialized commitment to children has included 10 years of Newborn ICU experience, transitioning Special
Needs/Special Ed children into the public school system, and pediatric primary care in the clinical setting. A member of the AANP, NAPNAP, UNP, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
As a pediatric nurse practitioner, Catherine strives to provide compassionate, quality care and education to enhance the lives, experiences, and health of her pediatric patients and their families.
Catherine has recently joined Westside Pediatrics and is looking forward to working with Ann Maruri, DNP in serving the children and families of Northern Utah. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and friends, cooking, skiing, biking, and traveling
